We did their engagement photos on a warm summer evening at Lynn Canyon Park (Click here to see their engagement photos). We splashed around, laughed until our faces hurt and our feet were FREEZING. We knew their wedding day was going to be a blast!

Derrick and Sophie met 2 years ago at a mutual friends wedding. He was in the band and she was helping set up. After chatting they realized that they grew up only blocks from each other, have a bunch of mutual friends, and have been at the same events multiple times!

They were best friends for a year and a half before they realized they were meant to be so much more…

Derrick proposed outside her childhood home with a custom made wooden music box, and candles galore! Family was waiting inside to offer their warm congratulations to the happy couple and celebrate the special occasion together.

They had a beautiful back yard wedding with vintage decor, Rice Krispie cake, dancing, sparklers and even a surprise firework show! Nothing was more beautiful than the amount of sheer love and happiness from the family and friends that joined them in celebrating their special day.
